Trade: Queen-dedede 2

I, forced to be a creature of the night,
Indwelt with poison active by the sun,
Seek strongly once again to know the light.
Seek freely once again to carve the day,
Without a thought or care for anyone,
With deadly mischief for those in my way.

And now a hunger clamors "Come, obey."
I do not understand its harsh command,
But find a toothy kiss wards it away.
Alone I troll the night and, with a meal,
Rejoin the day – now with a different and
More sinister intent. I know not what I feel.

Despite the change, I let my heart to stray –
To stray into betrayal's hands in time
And let my mind fall more into decay
Until I end the life that I held dear
And I, alone, must wallow in my crime.
Tomorrow's sun will know my crying here.

Now pounding hunger is my only friend
A mask of hate to hide my pale face,
And knowing that this pain will never end,
I stride between the living and the dead.
I find another girl in my embrace
And give my hair to be another's thread.

I still cannot say why this girl is mine
But I pretend in secret confidence
To be an angel, bloody and divine
And when my hungry madness does subside,
I hold her close and ever hold her hence
And for her every need I will provide.

I, forced to be a creature lusting blood,
Indwelt with living poison of the dark
Seek only to protect a flower bud,
Seek solace in the madness of the night.
And on the mortal men I leave my mark
But what I know of love I will not fight.
